Is Veho worth it for package delivery drivers?
Veho pays per route, not per hour, and you carry your own vehicle costs out of that pay. For the wider picture of this kind of work, see package delivery driving.
Veho makes sense if
You want a set pay for each route
You drive in California and want a pay floor
Choose another platform if
You want to know your costs before you start
You want to challenge a deactivation in court
You live in a market with a driver waitlist
How much Veho takes from your pay
Veho doesn't publish a percentage it keeps from what shippers pay, and its terms describe route pay as your full compensation. The terms say you cover vehicle and operating expenses and Veho doesn't reimburse beyond the offered rate. Two deductions are published. Occupational accident insurance comes out of route pay for new drivers, who are auto-enrolled, and you can opt out only by showing alternative coverage with proof. The terms don't state the insurance rate. They say rates are in the enrollment form. Cashing out early also carries a fee that depends on your driver level. Veho doesn't publish what shippers or recipients pay on top.
Veho fees
- Veho keeps
Occupational accident insurance is deducted from route pay unless you opt out with alternative coverage.
- Instant payout fee
Funds typically arrive within minutes, up to 2 hours, if your bank participates.
Savings and prepaid accounts may not support instant transfers.
The percentage applies to the balance you cash out, with a minimum fee.
Applies when you have no driver level; the percentage is of your balance.
California drivers wait for the standard twice-weekly deposits instead.
To see what a route is really worth after fuel, wear and unpaid time, use how to calculate your actual hourly earnings.
How and when Veho pays you
Standard deposits reach your bank days after routes are processed, not the day you finish. Veho doesn't publish a minimum payout or a fee for the standard deposit. Instant Cash Out is faster, but it depends on your bank taking part in RTP or FedNow and on your driver level.

Veho requirements and how long approval takes
Veho's sign-up page says a mid-size sedan or larger, while its help center says a large sedan or larger with a stated cargo size. The help center's cubic-feet figure is the more specific one, so check your vehicle against it first.
Veho requirements
- Vehicle
Veho's own wording varies; the cubic-feet figure is the more specific requirement.
Small sedans such as Civic, Sentra and Impreza are named as lacking enough space.
Veho says pickups need hard covers over the bed to qualify.
- ID and documents
License, insurance proof, 1099 tax info

After you submit documents and pass the background check, Veho verifies your information and approves you. The application time is Veho's own estimate. In some markets you join a waitlist instead and are notified by email and SMS. Veho doesn't publish which markets have a waitlist, which offenses disqualify you, or a full list of markets.
How much you can make on Veho
Veho's hourly range is its own marketing figure, not a rate it pays.
Earnings figures
Veho's drive page says the range is based on average monthly pay by region over the past year. The same page says it is not hourly pay, because drivers are paid for route completion. Veho's terms say stated route pay is full compensation regardless of time taken, and your vehicle and operating costs come out of it. This is Veho's claim. No independent measurement of what Veho drivers earn is published.
California has its own rule. Veho's help section says the net earnings floor is computed over 14-day pay periods and trued up within 14 days after each period ends, and that it excludes unpaid waiting time. Veho's New York City section is only a link to a Notice of Rights PDF that is informational. It doesn't state classification or pay rates.
Can Veho deactivate your account?
Yes. Veho's terms say either side may end the relationship for any reason. Veho may suspend you for an investigation or deactivate you for material breach in its sole discretion. Ratings count too: Veho says your rating is the average of your last 100 rated deliveries, that low ratings can lead to permanent deactivation, and that it manually reviews ratings first.
The terms send deactivation disputes to binding individual arbitration, not court. Veho doesn't publish an internal appeal process or timeline.
Is Veho legit?
A plaintiffs' law firm names Veho Technologies, Inc. as the legal entity behind Veho. Veho's Driver Partner Terms say the contracting company is a local entity named in a Multi-Location Addendum, with Veho Tech, Inc. licensing the platform to it, so read the addendum you sign.
Veho company record
The same law firm said it investigated whether Veho misclassified drivers. That was an investigation, not a lawsuit or a finding, and the firm's page says it stopped investigating as of Sep 30, 2026. Veho's driver terms state that drivers operate as independent contractors.
Scams that use Veho's name
Veho's careers page warns about recruiting scams. That warning sits on the corporate page and covers its recruiters, not driver onboarding specifically.
For general warning signs, see how to spot side-hustle scams.
Taxes on Veho income
Veho's registration collects tax information for an IRS 1099, and its terms say you operate as an independent contractor. Veho doesn't publish which 1099 form it issues or at what threshold, so ask Veho what it will issue before you start. The terms also put vehicle and operating expenses on you, with no reimbursement beyond route pay.
