Corrections
If something on IncomeShip is wrong, tell us. We check it against the source, fix it, and say so on the page.

How to report an error
Email hello@valiancelabs.com or use our contact page. To help us check it quickly, include:
- the page, and the sentence, figure or table row you think is wrong;
- what you believe is correct;
- a source for it if you have one, such as the platform's help page, a government page or your own pay statement.
What happens next
- We check the claim against the source the page cites, and against any source you sent.
- We aim to reply within 5 business days, whether or not we change the page.
- If we got it wrong, we fix it and add a dated note to the page saying what changed.
How corrections are shown
A fix to something we got wrong is never made quietly. The page gets a dated note saying what was corrected, and its “Facts checked” date moves to the day we re-checked it.
A small fix that doesn't change any fact, like a typo or a broken link, is made without a note.
Corrections and updates
- A correction fixes something we got wrong: a fee we misread, a rule we stated wrongly.
- An update reflects something that changed: a platform raised its fee, a tax threshold moved.
Requests from platforms
Platforms and companies can report errors the same way as anyone else, and we hold them to the same standard: we change a page when the facts are wrong, not because a company would prefer different wording. See our editorial policy for how we choose and weigh sources.
