Is CJ worth it for affiliate publishers?
CJ suits publishers with a working website and an audience: advertisers pay your commissions, and each advertiser decides whether to approve you.
CJ makes sense if
You run a blog or social channel with an influencer audience
Choose another platform if
You need a yes from every program you apply to
You may go a month without logging in or earning
Paid search is your main traffic source
How CJ commissions are paid
CJ doesn't publish a network-wide commission rate; each advertiser sets its own. Transactions normally lock on the 10th of the month after the sale, though an advertiser can set a custom lock of 7 to 60 days or leave it open-ended. CJ then pays around the 20th, with a second round around the 28th for USD, GBP and EUR that not every publisher qualifies for. That payment-cycle article is from May 2022, so confirm the current dates in your account.
CJ doesn't say which tax form it issues to U.S. publishers. You enter your tax information in the Account Manager, and CJ says its Finance team might not be able to send payments if that information is outdated.

How to sign up for CJ
Apply through CJ's publisher sign-up page. CJ says that once it receives your application you get access to the Account Manager, where you apply to advertiser programs one at a time. CJ says publishers can join programs with a single click after onboarding, and that is its own claim, not a measured approval rate. CJ's join page currently shows a Sign Up link and states no waitlist or U.S. exclusions. Approval is per advertiser: advertisers review your network profile, and CJ's example advertiser messaging cites a one to two business day review. CJ states no approval timeframe for the network sign-up itself.

Is CJ legit?
CJ's Publisher Service Agreement names the operator and address shown below. CJ's support page says it will never ask for your password, an upfront payment or a deposit. The FTC's job-scam guidance says honest employers never ask you to pay to get a job, and no honest employer sends a check to deposit and then asks you to send part of it on.
