Is Adapty worth it for app developers?
Adapty takes a share of the revenue it tracks and doesn't pay you, so it is a cost to weigh, not income. It fits developers whose tracked revenue is small and who accept terms that let Adapty restrict access without notice.
Adapty makes sense if
You want store billing left where it is
Your revenue over the last 30 days is under $5K
Choose another platform if
You expect fees on revenue after the store's cut
You need a firm right to keep access to your account
You need 24/7 support without an Enterprise contract
How much Adapty costs
Adapty bills you; you don't bill it. Its fee is a percentage of tracked revenue, with separately priced add-ons and a custom Enterprise plan. Adapty's terms say fees are invoiced according to its current pricing page unless an Order Form says otherwise.

How and when Adapty pays you
Adapty says it doesn't process payments or pay developers. Your subscribers' payments reach you through the stores or web processors, on schedules those companies set and Adapty's pages don't cover.

How much you can make on Adapty
Adapty is a cost on your revenue, not a source of it. Adapty doesn't publish an average revenue gain for its customers, and the figures below describe apps in its own data.
Figures Adapty publishes
The median is per app, not what a developer takes home. The 40x figure is a correlation in Adapty's data and isn't shown to be causal. The +300% is one customer's case study that Adapty uses in its marketing.
Adapty tracked revenue and free tier threshold
Adapty counts tracked revenue as gross: it is measured before the store or processor takes its cut and includes subscriptions, renewals and one-time purchases.
Adapty says the 1% starts once revenue over the last 30 days crosses $5K, and then bills 1% of each month's revenue. Its pricing page also describes the fee as 1% of tracked revenue after crossing $5K. The pages don't say whether the first $5K is excluded once you cross the line.
Adapty mobile app revenue benchmarks
Adapty's State of In-App Subscriptions 2026 report states its sample as 16,000 apps with $3B in subscription revenue. The page gives no detailed methodology or date range. These are Adapty-reported figures from apps on its platform, not an independent measure of what developers earn. The report says the top 10% of apps' share of subscription revenue rose from 92.7% in 2023 to 94.5%.
How to earn more on Adapty
Adapty publishes its own guidance in the same report. These are Adapty's claims, drawn from its data:
- A weekly plan with a free trial gives the highest 12-month lifetime value, at $49.27.
- Among 105,000 paywalls, localization tests most often produced a lifetime value uplift, in 62.3% of tests. Price changes were the least likely among non-visual tests.
- 89.4% of trial starts happen on Day 0, so Adapty says the first-session paywall matters most.
Can Adapty close your account?
Adapty's terms let it terminate, downgrade, suspend or restrict access without notice or liability, and impose usage limits. They also say it may remove free trial access at any time. Adapty publishes no appeal or reinstatement process in its terms.
If a payment fails, Adapty says the SDK keeps working and purchases go through, but dashboard access is restricted until the billing issue is resolved. You keep ownership of your content, though Adapty has no obligation to store it or give you a copy.
Is Adapty legit?
Adapty's privacy policy names Adapty Tech Inc. as the data controller. Adapty's About page lists Vitaly Davydov as CEO and Kirill Potekhin as CPO and CTO. Adapty says it has tracked $5B in revenue, is trusted by 30,000+ apps and is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant. These are Adapty's own claims.
