What RevenueCat costs sellers
RevenueCat's Pro plan has no upfront monthly fee. It's free until your monthly tracked revenue reaches $2,500, and above that RevenueCat bills 1% of tracked revenue. Tracked revenue counts all purchases and renewals, measured before the store's commission and taxes, so the 1% applies to what customers paid, not to what the store passes on. If your tracked revenue later falls back under the threshold, the plan returns to free. Enterprise is priced individually for high-volume apps.
RevenueCat says an account that passes the limit after its first month is restricted immediately until it pays: charts, new paywalls and experiments are locked, while existing paywalls keep working. Paid plans auto-renew unless you cancel 30 days before, and billing disputes must be raised within 30 days.

Does RevenueCat pay you?
No. RevenueCat tracks and manages purchases, but the money comes from the app stores or your payment processor. For web sales through RevenueCat Billing, its terms say you use your own Stripe account, payments are between you and Stripe, and RevenueCat doesn't receive card data. The terms also make you responsible for calculating applicable taxes on those payments.
How to sign up for RevenueCat
Sign-up is self-serve through a Start for free button, with no waitlist on the page. The terms are made with a business entity rather than an individual, and the only geographic restriction they name is use from embargoed countries. After creating an account, RevenueCat's docs have you follow the quickstart to install the SDK and verify a first purchase. Its SDK guides cover iOS, Android, React Native, Expo and Flutter, among others.
Is RevenueCat legit?
RevenueCat, Inc. is a Delaware corporation, and its Terms of Use give a business address in Brandon, Florida. The terms were last modified Mar 20, 2024, and the privacy policy was updated in June 2026.
RevenueCat questions
RevenueCat's docs point you to a quickstart: create an account, install the SDK for your platform and verify a first purchase. The docs then have you set up offerings, which group the products shown on a paywall, and entitlements, which control access to content and features. Install guides cover iOS, Android, Flutter, Unity, Web and other frameworks.
RevenueCat says its State of Subscription Apps 2026 report covers 115,000 apps and $16 billion in revenue, from indie teams to large publishers. Only apps with RevenueCat integrated, active subscription revenue and a minimum install or revenue level are counted, so it doesn't represent all apps. Its figures are app revenue, not profit or owner income, and no independent source measures what developers take home.
