What Printify costs sellers

Printify's terms say you pay the product price plus shipping and taxes in advance, and orders aren't processed until they're paid. Printify can't pull money from your sales channel, so the charge comes from a Printify balance or a connected payment method, and the terms say your balance is charged first. You can adjust how often orders are charged and whether each order is charged singly or in a batch.

What's left for you is the retail price minus these costs and your sales channel's fees, including Etsy's when you sell there. The optional Premium plan lowers what you pay per product but can't be refunded, so cancel before it renews if you stop selling. Printify's pricing page uses an $8.77 tee in its profit calculator; that's a marketing example, not a catalog price, and Printify says it leaves out shipping, taxes and storefront costs.

How and when Printify pays you

Printify doesn't pay you sales profit. Printify's help center says profit is paid out in your sales channel, so Etsy, Shopify or your own store sets that schedule. Printify's own payments run the other way: money you put into a Printify balance comes back only to the card or PayPal account you paid with, and refunds for order problems arrive as balance credit, not cash.

The terms also let Printify suspend your account and hold back money it owes you if it reasonably believes you breached its terms, and ask for Know Your Client documents or an interview. The only appeal right in the terms covers the EU illegal-content process; they set out no general appeal for U.S. sellers.
