Walmart Marketplace seller fees
Walmart says it deducts a referral fee from each completed purchase, and the rate varies by category and total sales price. If you use Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), you also owe per-unit fulfillment fees and storage fees that depend on volume and time stored. Walmart says WFS has no inventory minimums or maximums and recommends at least 50 items. It also says WFS fulfillment costs 15% less than other marketplace fulfillment providers. That is Walmart's own claim, based on its first-party orders from July 2024 to June 2025. Referral fees for the categories Walmart lists, and the WFS charges, are below.

Walmart Marketplace questions
Walmart says payments typically arrive about 28 days after an order ships or is delivered, and your payment frequency is set when your seller account is approved. U.S. sellers are paid through Marketplace Wallet, a JPMorgan Chase business deposit account administered by Walmart. Walmart says Wallet funds are FDIC-insured up to $250,000 per depositor. Payouts aren't sent by ACH direct deposit. You use Wallet or an approved third-party payout provider whose fees vary.
Walmart's seller performance standards call for a cancellation rate of 2% or below, on-time delivery of 90% or above, a valid tracking rate of 99% or above, and replies to inquiries within 48 hours at a 95% or above response rate. Over a 60-day window, the return rate must be 6% or below (9% or below for resold inventory), the item not received rate 2% or below, and the negative feedback rate (1-2 star ratings) 2% or below. Walmart says using WFS covers most of these metrics except negative feedback rate, and you can monitor them in the Seller Center Performance dashboard, the Seller app or the API.
Yes. Walmart's steps are to review your performance, write a business plan of action and submit it through the Help button. You may be asked for warehouse photos or supplier invoices less than two months old. Walmart says appeals don't guarantee reinstatement and are handled in the order received.
